Lunch/Snack Ideas

Ok, so one week has passed in school and we survived. I thought I would share our ideas on what to pack. First you have to understand that my little one does not like sandwiches.

For snacks I bought a case of small waters but we reused one bottle for the entire week, just refilling it every day. The colorful bowls are from Wal-Mart in the baby section, they are called Take-n-Toss..of course we don't toss. They are dishwasher safe. The container the apples are in came from Wal-Mart in the gladware section. The peanuts and dip are in condiment cups found in the paper section (cups, plates).

Day 1:
Snack: Water, nutella, blueberry muffin (made a batch and froze them in single bags)
Lunch: Roaring water, apple with fruit dip (from prior post), popcorn chicken, cookies

Day 2:
Snack: Water, peanuts, cheese with cracker sticks
Lunch: Roaring water, mandarin oranges, pigs (pigs in blanket without blanket...little sausages), ham balls (prior post), homemade honey mustard dip

Day 3:
Snack: Water, blueberry muffin, graham cracker with peanut butter
Lunch: Roaring water, grapes, oreos, campfire stew (baked beans with ground beef)

For the honey mustard sauce you simply add equal parts mustard, mayo, and honey. Adjust to your taste, store in fridge. I used an almost empty mustard bottle and just added other ingredients. Wrote HM on the lid and put back in fridge.

From our kitchen to yours, Mary
