Fire Starters

So.. no pics for this one just yet. My camera is packed away at the moment but thought I would pass along this idea (with more post coming later). I'm a Girl Scout Leader and we are preparing the girls to go camping. We are making sit-upons, firestarters, swaps, and lots more fun stuff.

Today I'm going to tell you how to make a super easy fire started with what you have in your house already.  It's so simple and the kids will love helping!

What you need: wax paper and dryer lint. Yep, that's it.

Take a approx 6x6 peice of wax paper (just an estimate, nothing exact matters here). Put a child's size handful of dryer lint in the middle and wrap up. We rolled them and twisted the ends together. It resembled a totsie roll.

That's it folks!  It will start the fire for you...the kids made it... and you didn't have to spend any money.

From our house to yours, Mary
