Everything but the sink bars

Ever wonder what to do with all those bits and pieces that are going stale and the kids won't touch?  Me too.  Here is one idea that I came up with that actually worked. My daughter helped me make them which made them even better to eat since she made it. We added it to her lunch all week as a snack instead of using store bought stuff. So here we go:

This is a variation of rice crispy treats... We used marshmallows, butter, frosted flakes, teddy grahams, mini oreos, chocolate chips, and anything else lying around we found.

I can't give you exact amounts here since everything we used was already opened and wasn't getting ate. But our base was marshmallows and a stick of butter.
Put in microwave at 30 second intervals till melted. It took about 2 minutes for us.

When melted and mixed then pour in frosted flakes and mix well. Add in everything else but the teddy grahams. Again we added anything and everything laying around that wasn't being eaten and we only had a little left of.

We saved the teddy grahams for last and put them on top to look like they were "swimming" in the mix.

Final note, I also used cookie cutters to make cute shapes of these for her lunch box. Simply cut out and put in zip-lock bag or wrap in saran wrap.

From our kitchen to yours, Mary
